Anybody can have thrush infections if infected by the known fungi, Candida albicans. The fungi never select where to live in the human body which can either be inside or outside as long as it lives and can grow causing Thrush. Candida albicans are actually one of the bacteria used to balance the bacteria level inside the body but too much of these bacteria will no longer be good to the body and might cause you certain illnesses such as infection.
There are two kinds of thrush infection normally experienced by people; oral thrush which is in the mouth or vaginal thrush which is in women\’s vagina. It is in the vulva part of the vagina where women starts to feel itchy or irritate because of the fungi starting to increase in number. And about 75% of all women in the world will experience vaginal thrush as it becomes a part of their cycle already while half of this percentage will experience chronic thrush infection.
In order to know whether you have vaginal thrush, get note of the following signs. The very first sign that a woman will feel when having the infection is itchiness around and inside the vagina. Some of the symptoms other than itchiness are the swelling and redness of the vagina, the feeling of pain every time you urinate and have sex, not normal thickness and whiteness of vaginal discharge.
If you are only feeling few of the symptoms, then you are probably only having mild thrush infection or maybe not. Though it can be a mild one, never be uncertain to take some corrective action because that could result to a severe condition if not immediately healed. Instantly visit your doctor and have a check-up of this mild infection in order for you to take medicine right away before the infection can get worse.
Getting thrush can come from so many reasons.
Some abuses to your health like lack of sleep, stress with work, frequent sickness can be considered as reasons for getting the infection because your immune system will be too weak during these times and cannot anymore fight against bad bacteria or fungi. Using birth control pills, antibiotics, and steroid medicines can also cause you thrush infection. Too much of these medicines can develop thrush and can even make it worse.
Using over-the-counter medicines has also been making people experience more severe infection because of misuse or simply the medicine doesn\’t fit for you and just reacts negatively with the infection. Do not right away purchase medicine without consulting your doctor if you want to get the exact medicine that suits your need. Some of those who did not consult thought that they have the infection when the truth is that they actually do not possess it at the moment they start to take in drugs for thrush infections. According to a particular research conducted regarding thrush, two-thirds of women are using over-the-counter medicines because they thought that they have vaginal thrush without asking the doctors\’ opinion.
Thrush infections will only be hard to treat once you ignore the first symptom and you are not being responsible with curing it.
